Currently promoting Centurion, which receives it theatrical release in the U.S today, Neil Marshall isn't wasting much time "cooking" up his next project. Titled Underground, no this is not a remake of Emir Kusturica's 1995 film, this is based on a David Cohen script that would probably make chef Anthony Bourdain feel queasy.

Richard Linklater filmed in the U.K. Jim Jarmusch made his last in Spain. And John Sayles, we'll he went completely off-course, heading of all places to Manilla. As I was putting this piece together collection of stills, I came across this post, which uncovered the production's blog, trailer and what not. I'll admit to having skipped on Honeydripper - which was also a TIFF presentation, I had no idea that since then, he was working on Amigo, which was first announced as a San Sebastian Film Festival selection, prior to being called out last Tuesday for TIFF.

Couple of days ago we showed you this still of Shannyn Sossamon, and now we've got the full synopsis and a batch of new images for Monte Hellman's Road to Nowhere (Venice Film Festival Main Competition). Shot in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, the West End of London, Lago di Garda in Northern Italy, the ancient parts of Rome and Hellman's own living room, reading from the film's press kit, this promises to be a twisty, turny item with Sossamon's character borrowing certain doppelganger-like features.

In descending order we have Sarah Polley giving direction to Sarah Silverman who plays Geraldine -- a probable BFF to Michelle Williams romantically involved character in Talk this Waltz.

Review: Spring Fever

Review: Spring Fever

A heavily flawed film that does a disservice to its quintet of characters by abruptly ending each character's final chapter before it even begins making Spring Fever a film that never manages to find itself. Audiences who've followed his past efforts such as Purple Butterfly and Summer Palace will be puzzled by erotica without reason, by the undefined terms in which the characters are set in and the lack of dramatic focus.

Interview: Amir Bar-Lev (The Tillman Story)

Pat has a very wide appeal and people who admire him come from different parts of ideological spectrum. So we didn't want to alienate a part of our audience because the film is about Pat more than anything. So we wanted to invite everybody to the dialogue of what actually happened to him and the country at the time.
