Interview: Jonathan Minard & Scott Rashap – Archive | 2015 January Screenwriters Lab

Date:

If the names of Jonathan Minard and Scott Rashap ring a bell, it may be due to their breakout Toru – also known as the 2017 “secret” short film launched by A24 folks at the 2017 edition of the Sundance Film Fest. We met with Minard (co-writer/director) and Rashap (co-writer) after their stint at the 2015 January Screenwriters Lab for Archive – Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship winner project with the logline that reads: in the wake of a virtual affair lived entirely through email and gchat, two lovers face the intangibility and distance that characterized their relationship. A search for the physical traces of their connection prompts a journey to the data center which holds their intimate messages.
