Conned Ambition: Stacy Martin Among Players in “Pocket Dream”

Date:

Last month while she was doing the red carpet rounds for The Brutalist, Stacy Martin revealed what she has in-store next in terms of upcoming projects. Along with Mona Fastvold’s Ann Lee, the actress best known for the Nymphomaniac volumes mentioned “I’m currently filming a film noir called Pocket Dream with co directors Julia Baylis and Sam Guest in New York about a mysterious socialite who enlists a young cater waiter to chauffeur her to a wealthy enclave of Eastern Long Island.” We did some digging.

The Sam Guest and Julia Baylis tandem saw their short ‘Wiggle Room’ selected for 2021’s Sundance and SXSW Film Festivals and they’ve been mounting their feature debut over the past couple of years. Pocket Dream is a noir micro indie with thesps Spike Fearn, Stacy Martin and Scott Cohen and production took place this past February into March in Long Island. We can mark this as a possible Sundance 2026 entry. Producers include Ani Schroeter, Kathryn M. Moseley, Devon Young, and Gia Rigoli.
