2024 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: Michael Mohan’s Immaculate

Date:

He has been to Park City on three different occasions including a pair of features in One Too Many Mornings (2010) and Save the Date (2012) and now Michael Mohan might return with an ambitious new project that went into production back in January. Re-teaming Sydney Sweeney who toplined Mohan’s 2021 The Voyeurs, Immaculate is a psychological horror set in Italy that was written by Andrew Lobel.

Gist: Cecilia (Sydney Sweeney), a woman of devout faith who is offered a fulfilling new role at an illustrious Italian convent. Her warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is interrupted, however, as it becomes clearer to Cecilia that her new home harbors dark and horrifying secrets.

Production Co./Producers: Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler, Fifty-Fifty Films’ Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino.

Prediction: Midnight.

Sales: CAA and Paradigm (Domestic). Black Bear Intl. (International).
